Advanced Wound Care // Fluid Mgmt

Beyond Absorption. Mastering the
Fluid Equilibrium.

Chronic wounds demand dynamic climate control. We engineer Vertical Absorption Matrices that lock exudate away from the skin, preventing maceration while maintaining the precise moisture balance needed for healing.

The Delicate Balance of
Exudate Management

Desiccation Risk
Maceration Risk
RISK FACTOR 01

Periwound Maceration

When dressings fail to lock fluid vertically, lateral wicking occurs. This exposes healthy periwound skin to corrosive exudate, causing softening, whitening, and delayed healing.

RISK FACTOR 02

Frequency Fatigue

Low-capacity dressings reach saturation too quickly. This necessitates frequent dressing changes, increasing nursing labor costs and disrupting the wound bed's temperature.

RISK FACTOR 03

Adhesion Trauma

As exudate dries, standard gauze fibers can integrate into the new granulation tissue. Removal becomes painful and traumatic, stripping away newly formed cells.

RISK FACTOR 04

Biofilm Incubation

Pooled, stagnant fluid on the wound surface creates an ideal breeding ground for bacteria, leading to biofilm formation and chronic infection cycles.

The Vertical Lock
Architecture

Layer 04 // Protective Backing

High-MVTR Semipermeable Film

A breathable polyurethane barrier that allows excess moisture vapor to evaporate (MVTR > 3000 g/m²/24h) while strictly blocking external bacteria and water ingress.

Layer 03 // Retention Core

SAP Polymer Matrix

Super Absorbent Polymers (SAP) instantly convert exudate into a cohesive gel. This physically locks fluid inside the core, preventing "squeeze-out" even under compression therapy.

Layer 02 // Distribution

Vertical Wicking Fleece

A specialized non-woven layer that pulls fluid upward against gravity and distributes it evenly, preventing saturation concentration in a single spot.

Layer 01 // Contact Interface

Non-Adherent Silicone/Contact

A gentle interface that adheres to dry skin but not to the moist wound bed, ensuring atraumatic removal and protecting fragile granulation tissue.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Kingphar SAP dressings be used under compression therapy?

Absolutely. Our Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP) core is specifically engineered to retain fluid structure under pressure (up to 40mmHg). Unlike traditional foam that may act like a sponge and leak when compressed, our ionic lock technology prevents wetback, protecting the periwound skin during compression therapy for venous leg ulcers.

What is the maximum wear time for the Silicone Foam series?

Depending on the volume of exudate, Kingphar Silicone Foam dressings are designed for a wear time of up to 7 days. The high-MVTR backing film manages moisture vapor while the absorbent core handles liquid, significantly reducing the frequency of dressing changes compared to standard gauze.

Can the dressings be cut to fit difficult anatomical sites?

It depends on the specific product line. Our Non-Bordered Foam can be cut to shape. However, for SAP Super Absorbent Pads, cutting is not recommended as it may compromise the sealed polymer core and release particles. We offer a wide range of anatomical shapes (sacral, heel, elbow) to fit these areas without modification.

Are these products suitable for patients with fragile skin?

Yes. Our "Gentle Border" series utilizes medical-grade soft silicone adhesive. This technology provides secure fixation but releases easily upon removal, minimizing epidermal stripping and pain (MARSI), making it ideal for geriatric or pediatric patients with friable skin.
