Why Cotton Filled Outperforms Plain Non-Woven
The composite construction delivers what neither pure non-woven nor pure cotton gauze can achieve alone: low lint, low adhesion, and maximum absorbency in the same product.
Cotton Fill Core
100% cotton inner batting provides maximum fluid retention. Absorbs blood and saliva well beyond the capacity of plain 4-ply non-woven — critical for post-extraction haemostasis.
Non-Woven Outer Layer
Rayon/polyester spunlace outer surface is virtually lint-free and low-adherent. Cotton fill is enclosed — no loose fibers shed into the oral cavity or clotting tissue on removal.
8-Ply Thickness
8-ply composite construction provides greater thickness and structural integrity than standard 4-ply non-woven sponges. Maintains shape under salivary and blood load during extended procedures.
Low Clot Adhesion
Non-woven outer surface reduces adherence to clotting tissue compared to traditional woven cotton gauze. Preferred for post-extraction use where clot preservation is clinically important.
Sterile & Non-Sterile
Non-sterile bulk (2,000/case) for routine chairside use. Sterile peel-pouch (2/pouch) and sterile box (100/box) for oral surgical procedures. Both formats carry CE Class I documentation.
Latex-Free
No natural rubber latex in any component. Meets standard dental formulary requirements for latex-free supply chains. Safe for latex-sensitive patients.
Composite Three-Layer Structure
Rayon/polyester spunlace — low-lint, low-adherent surface. Rapid fluid passage to cotton core.
Pure cotton batting — maximum fluid retention. Absorbs blood and saliva beyond non-woven-only capacity. Enclosed to prevent fiber shedding.
Mirrors top layer — encloses cotton fill. Prevents loose cotton fibers from contaminating oral cavity or wound site.
