Spunlace-bonded rayon/polyester medical balls for surgical, ENT, ophthalmic, and dental applications. Virtually lint-free construction absorbs up to 10× own weight. Available sterile or non-sterile, with or without X-ray detectable thread. Full CE, FDA, and SFDA documentation.
Why Non-Woven Over Cotton Gauze?
The spunlace bonding process interlocks rayon and polyester fibers without adhesive binders, producing a low-lint structure that outperforms woven cotton in direct wound and tissue-contact applications.
Virtually Lint-Free
Spunlace bonding eliminates loose fiber shedding. No thread unraveling into wound sites — critical for ENT, ophthalmic, and implant procedures.
Absorbs Up to 10× Own Weight
Rayon fiber delivers superior fluid uptake versus woven cotton. Fewer pieces consumed per procedure in high-exudate settings — reduces total cost-per-case.
Low Wound Adherence
Smooth rayon surface reduces adherence to granulating tissue on removal — prevents trauma and pain compared to cotton gauze fibers embedding in wounds.
X-Ray Detectable Option
Available with BaSO₄ polypropylene thread (≥55% concentration). Meets EN 14079 radiopaque requirements for cavity-access surgical procedures.
3 Sterile Pack Formats
Blister pack, Paper+PE peel-pouch, or Paper+Paper peel-pouch. EO or gamma sterilization. Standard 5 or 10 balls per pouch; custom counts on request.
