Product Features

Engineered for Comfort, Security and Discretion

Every component of an ostomy pouching system affects patient quality of life. These specifications reflect the clinical requirements that matter most for hospital formulary and distributor procurement.

◎

Hydrocolloid Skin Barrier

Medical-grade hydrocolloid wafer with strong adhesion and skin-friendly formulation. Protects peristomal skin from output contact. Wear time 1–3 days (one-piece) or 2–3 days (two-piece barrier).

⊕

Cut-to-Fit 15–60mm

Adjustable opening accommodates any stoma size and shape — round, oval, or irregular. Stoma measuring guide card included. Essential for post-operative use when stoma size is still changing.

◐

Double-Layer Non-Woven Outer

Soft, low-friction non-woven fabric reduces noise from pouch movement for patient discretion. Neutral skin tone. Reduces irritation against abdominal skin during daily activity.

◉

Activated Charcoal Filter

Integrated charcoal filter neutralises intestinal gas and releases pressure while preventing odour escape — a critical feature for patient confidence and social discretion.

▣

Transparent or Opaque Film

Transparent inner film for post-operative nursing observation of stoma and output. Opaque option for patient privacy in daily life. Both available across all ostomy types.

CE Class IIa · ISO 8670-2

Ostomy Type Selection

Three Configurations — Not Interchangeable

Specify ostomy type explicitly in all tender documents. Each configuration is designed for different output characteristics and clinical context.

Large Intestine
Colostomy

Semi-solid output. Closed-end or drainable. Changed every 1–3 days. Most common ostomy type. Left abdominal stoma.

Small Intestine
Ileostomy

Liquid output, high volume. Always drainable — emptied 4–6× daily. Higher capacity required. Right abdominal stoma.

Urinary Diversion
Urostomy

Urine only. Always drainable with tap valve. Anti-reflux valve standard. Night drainage bag connection option.

System Selection

One-Piece or Two-Piece?

Both systems available. Hospital formularies typically stock both to accommodate patient preferences and clinical needs.

Simpler · Lower Profile
One-Piece System
  • Barrier permanently attached to pouch
  • Peel and stick — single application
  • Changed as complete unit every 1–3 days
  • Lower profile under clothing
  • Ideal for new ostomates
More Flexible · Most Versatile
Two-Piece System
  • Barrier (flange) separate from pouch
  • Barrier stays on skin 2–3 days
  • Pouch snaps on/off independently
  • Audible click confirms secure connection
  • Preferred by experienced ostomates
